The notch 17H10

Today we're talking about the typical notch on our jacket collars.

You've probably noticed that all our jackets have a slight detail at the collar notch. Why is this?

Notches on suit collars are a key detail influencing the style and elegance of a jacket. Known as notch lapels, they are located where the jacket collar meets the lapel, forming a "V" or "angle" opening.

Collar notches influence not only aesthetics, but also the jacket's level of formality. The classic notch collar like this one is the most common, but there are also pointed notches or shawl collars reserved for more formal occasions.

If you look at a clock at 5:10 p.m., you'll notice that the hands are in the same position as the shape of our notch. To take full advantage of this wink, we underline it with a fine bias, made from the same fabric as the lining.

This subtle detail is our trademark, allowing our models to be recognized.

So you can see where our name 17H10 comes from.

A time when we're generally still in the office, but when we start to look at our watch to get on with our second life: meeting up with the kids, afterwork, dinner with friends, partying.... All of which is to say that you look good in our suits for work, but also for going out.
